Earlier this month we were contacted by Natasha Poole, whose son Hugo was cared for on our unit. She very kindly got in touch to let us know they had raised an amazing £270 at Hugo’s Christening.
While telling us all about the wonderful fundraising they’ve been doing, Natasha told us about their journey on our Neonatal Unit.
“Hugo was born at 29 weeks at Cramlington hospital and was transferred to Stockton for Intensive Care as there were no spare beds closer to our home. He weighed 3lbs 7oz. Hugo spent a total of five weeks in hospital and overcame many obstacles whilst on his NICU journey including anemia, brain bleeds and a heart murmur. He is now 1 and is thriving! He recently celebrated his first birthday in Norway and has grown into a very cheeky and extremely happy little boy. Thanks so much and we plan to continue fundraising for this amazing charity!!!”
We are so thrilled to have the support of Natasha and her family and friends – thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
