The charity helped a family earlier this year when their little girl Connie Drummond was resident on the neonatal unit at North Tees Hospital. The family have been raising money since their little girl Connie was born in December last year. Both of Connie’s parents are members of the Salvation Army at Shildon and wanted to give back to the Neonatal Unit. The children of the Sunday School wanted to raise money to help the ward as they have followed Connie’s journey. They filled babies bottles with coins since she was born and they also held a coffee morning with stalls.
The Sunday school leader presented the cheque to Neoangels on Wednesday 3rd August and appeared in the northern echo the following day. It is also going to be to published in the Salvation Army magazine. The total amount raised was £2050 please click here to view article that appeared in the Northern Echo.
